Supporting the global scientific community with applied research
The mission of the European Journal of Applied Economics is to assist researchers to effectively and rapidly communicate their research results in the global scientific community, adhering to the utmost standards of responsible research publication.
The journal publishes applied and reproducible scientific research across major subfields of economics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, monetary economics, econometrics, experimental economics, industrial organization, international finance, corporate finance, management, marketing, tourism and hospitality, public economics and taxation, labor economics, operations management, corporate social responsibility, human resource, agricultural economics, and related areas.
Papers considered for publication must fit within the defined topic range, use an adequate set of empirical data, contain adequate quantitative analysis, present the analysis of results clearly, and define implications for regulation and/or practice. Theoretical papers will rarely be considered for publication.
All papers must present research in accordance with the reproducibility principle, and authors must be willing to make the original data set and program code, or a detailed and complete description of the analysis process, available on request to reviewers and readers of the journal.
Peer Review
Every article is assessed through a rigorous and rapid double-blind peer review process.
Formatting
The journal uses APA style referencing, and an MS Word template file with instructions is available.
No Fees
EJAE applies no article submission, processing, or publication charges.
Timing
Desk rejections are given within 7 days, while average time to first decision for reviewed papers is under 30 days.
Seasonal review note
For papers submitted during the summer break (July 15 - August 25) and the winter break (December 25 - January 15) the review process could take up to 60 days.
